Preventing Lawsuits Against Colleges
To the Editor:
As a former administrator who became entangled in a protracted legal battle with the college that employed me, I applaud every institution that raises risk management to the top levels of governance. The article "Colleges' Risk Managers Face a Rising Tide of Litigation" (November 16) explains how the dramatic rise in insurance premiums and legal-defense costs warrants an elevation of this administrative function. However, the article falls short of breaking new ground
