Presidents See Progress in Opening Up Big-Money Bowls to More Colleges

College football may be a step closer to a level playing field. At least that was the conclusion of college presidents angling to get their institutions more access to the lucrative system of postseason bowl games, following a meeting here last week with their counterparts from institutions in the six conferences of the Bowl Championship Series.
