Cass R. Sunstein's "We Need to Reclaim the Second Bill of Rights" (The Chronicle Review, June 11) presents an interesting and obvious slant on a major part of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's re-election platform in 1944. Roosevelt was concerned about the possibility that with the end of the world war, the American economy might fall back into the doldrums of economic depression.
