President of a College in the West Makes a Pitch to Investors in Manhattan

Larry E. Penley led a Colorado State University delegation to New York City on Wednesday to meet with some financial heavyweights, but it was hardly a typical presidential road show.

Joined by about a dozen of the institution's scientists and economic-development officers, President Penley spent the day with more than two dozen venture capitalists and other potential investors in a midtown Manhattan law office, trying to sell them on Colorado State's new "Supercluster" strategy
