President of Texas University Suspends Faculty Senate
The president of Texas A&M University at Kingsville has suspended the campus's 34-member Faculty Senate, a year after the senate voted no confidence in him. The president, Rumaldo Z. Juarez, said he plans to overhaul the senate to make it more of "an advisory body."
