Darnell E. Cole, president of Milwaukee Area Technical College, was arrested last week on suspicion of drunken driving, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. Mr. Cole was issued a citation after his blood-alcohol level was measured at more than twice the legal limit, according to the newspaper, which published a police video of his arrest.
Mr. Cole, who is 61 and has served as the college’s president since 2001, issued an apology for the “serious error in judgment.”
His arrest is the latest of several drunken-driving charges involving college presidents in the past year. —Paul Fain
