President Resigns at Morris Brown

The president of Morris Brown College, Charles E. Taylor, has resigned after the beleaguered institution lost an appeal to retain its accreditation.

His resignation in April, after just seven months as president of the Atlanta institution, followed a daylong meeting with the college's Board of Trustees and was effective immediately. Neither Mr. Taylor nor the board's chairman, Bishop Frank C. Cummings, returned telephone calls seeking comment on the president's departure.
