President Resigns at Fla. 2-Year College

The president of Broward Community College, one of the largest two-year colleges in the country, has resigned, effective December 19, because of what he called a deteriorating relationship with two members of the Board of Trustees.

Larry A. Calderon, who has led the college in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for almost three years, said in an interview that in recent months, two lawyers on the board had increasingly tried to micromanage college operations.
