President Put on Leave After No-Confidence Vote at Tusculum College

The president of Tusculum College, who received a no-confidence vote from the Tennessee institution’s faculty in February, is now on a paid leave of absence, for undisclosed reasons, according to The Knoxville News-Sentinel.

The president, Dolphus E. Henry, has led the private Presbyterian college since 2000. Ken Bowman, chairman of the college’s Board of Trustees, said he could not comment on whether the no-confidence vote and the leave of absence were linked.

A task force assembled to study what had triggered the no-confidence vote released a report last week to the board’s executive committee. The part of the report made available to the public does not mention putting the president on leave. —Audrey Williams June
