President Ousted at 2-Year College in California

The governing board at Mount San Jacinto College has fired the two-year institution’s president, Mark J. Zacovic, after he served only 10 months on the job, according to The Press-Enterprise, a newspaper in California.

The Board of Trustees, which voted last Thursday to end Mr. Zacovic’s employment, gave no reason for its decision, angering many students and faculty members at the Southern California college, The Press-Enterprise reported. Mr. Zacovic is the fourth president to leave the college in the last nine years, according to the newspaper.
