President Bush Pushes Congress for Quick Law on Student Lending

President Bush weighed in over the weekend on student-lending woes, urging Congress to act quickly to pass legislation to improve the stability of student loans.

"A slowdown in the economy shouldn't mean a downturn in educational opportunities," he said on Saturday in his weekly radio address. "Members of Congress now have a chance to preserve this opportunity, and they should take it."
