Prenatal Testosterone Linked to Smoking
Scientists have discovered that high levels of testosterone in the blood of pregnant smokers make it more likely that daughters born to those women will end up as smokers themselves later in life.
The researchers said that while they don't understand why testosterone has that effect, the impact appears to be above and beyond the principle that children will mimic parents' behaviors to varying degrees as they age.
