Predicting the Life Expectancy of the Multiple-Choice Exam

I was delighted to read Daniel J. Cohen and Roy Rosenzweig's essay on the demise of the multiple-choice exam because, if these futurists are correct, we will see changes in education even more profound than they suggest ("No Computer Left Behind," The Chronicle Review, February 24).
