Popular Magazines and Good Journalism
To the Editor:
Thank you for taking an interest in the class I am teaching at Syracuse University, "Celebrity Journalism: Beyond the Red Carpet" (Syllabus, The Chronicle, October 1). It is indeed an interesting course.
I am quite concerned, however, that the quotes attributed to me do not accurately reflect the tone or spirit of my remarks. Most serious: "There are people at People magazine and Us Weekly who don't even know how to type, much less write."
