Poor Typing Slows Online Classes
To the Editor:
I taught an online introduction-to-business class during the fall. I agree that the instructor's teaching style and knowledge of electronic communication have a lot to do with the success of the online course; however, I found the typing speed of the students to be another difficulty in online classes ("Online," April 7).
If the student is a slow typist, the momentum of the discussion -- indeed, the entire class -- slows down to the point
