Polly Wants to Be a Hacker
The World Wide Web is going to the birds if researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have their way.
The M.I.T. team hopes that by October, it will have made substantial progress toward teaching an African Grey parrot named Arthur to surf the Web.
Why? Because pet parrots get bored.
Parrots are social creatures that are, in some ways, "as intelligent as chimpanzees and dolphins and young children," according to Irene M. Pepperberg, a noted expert on parrot
