Political Correctness and Jews in Germany

I read with sadness Mark M. Anderson's "German Intellectuals, Jewish Victims: a Politically Correct Solidarity" (The Review, October 19). His implicit thesis is that the liberal establishment in academia regulates and polices thought to punish those independent-minded scholars who will not adhere to its agenda of controlling higher education to make it a pleasant experience for traumatized target populations.
