Police Kill 4 Students in Papua New Guinea
At least four students at the University of Papua New Guinea, in Port Moresby, were killed last month and 24 others wounded, 11 critically, when police officers opened fire on a group of protesters on the campus.
The violence broke out after five days of peaceful protests by students and other citizens alarmed at government plans to privatize public utilities. More than 3,000 students, workers, and unemployed Papua New Guineans had held a peaceful sit-in at the offices of Prime
