Plummeting Stock Price Jeopardizes $250-Million Gift to U. of Colorado System
The plunging stock market has forced an Internet entrepreneur and his wife to delay payment on -- and possibly greatly reduce -- a gift to the University of Colorado System initially valued at $250-million. When the pledge was announced, in 2001, it was the largest ever to a public university.
