Pitt Students Protest University's Stance on Gay Benefits
Students, faculty members, and local residents last month protested the University of Pittsburgh's challenge to a city ordinance protecting homosexuals from discrimination.
The protesters held signs, made speeches, and carried a banner in front of the university's Cathedral of Learning to oppose the institution's refusal to provide health benefits to gay and lesbian partners of its employees.
