Peruvian Universities Ordered to Slash Entrance-Examination Fees
President Alberto Fujimori has ordered universities in Peru to drastically reduce their entrance-examination fees.
The measure, announced by the president on January 29, calls on the country's 28 state universities to reduce their examination fees by at least 50 per cent. The individual universities design their own entrance examinations and set their own fees, although the $30 charged by the San Marcos
