Perspectives on Technical Colleges

To the Editor:

It seems that those interested in merging public technical colleges into their community-college brethren might do well to look to the proprietary sector for guidance ("Technical Colleges at a Crossroads," March 12).

In the past decade, degree-granting proprietary colleges have moved so far beyond having merely technical curricula that the appellation technical college no longer applies;
