Pennsylvania Forms Panel on Political Bias

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives has voted to form a committee to investigate claims by some students that professors graded them unfairly because of their political views and used class time to talk about their own political opinions.

The resolution to establish the panel passed by a vote of 111 to 87. The measure, HR 177, states that students and faculty members "should be protected from the imposition of ideological orthodoxy," and that students should be "graded based on
