Pennsylvania Agency Gives Up on Flexibility Program for Student-Loan Guarantors
The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency has withdrawn its application to participate in a U.S. Education Department pilot program aimed at transforming the role of student-loan-guarantee agencies.
Officials of the Pennsylvania guarantor this month accused the department of rejecting many of its proposals for political reasons, and as a result "stifling innovation to the detriment of students and schools."
