U. of Pennsylvania Announces $3.5-Billion Fund-Raising Campaign

The University of Pennsylvania is planning one of the largest fund-raising campaigns in higher education, setting a five-year goal of $3.5-billion.

The university’s president, Amy Gutmann, announced the drive—Penn’s first in nearly two decades and its largest ever—at a gathering on Saturday evening of students, faculty members, and alumni on homecoming weekend.
