Penn Poised to Adopt Core Curriculum With Fewer Courses
A new core curriculum at the University of Pennsylvania would feature fewer required courses and more team-taught, interdisciplinary ones.
This week, the faculty is expected to approve a pilot program that would begin next year with just 200 freshmen. If it goes well, the new core would be required of all undergraduates beginning in academic 2003-04.
