Penn Disputes Charges Stemming From Death in Research
The University of Pennsylvania last week conceded that researchers had failed to follow some federal regulations during a gene-therapy experiment last September that killed an 18-year-old participant. But the university denied charges that he had been too sick to undergo the experimental therapy, and called his death "not foreseeable."
