Peer-Review Changes at NEH Produce Clash
Historians and archivists are questioning recent policy shifts by the National Endowment for the Humanities that have, among other changes, largely eliminated individual peer reviews of proposals under the Scholarly Editions Grants program, which supports the editing and publication of key writings of important figures in American history.
