Paying Homage to Clark Kerr

Congratulations to Jeffrey Selingo for his balanced piece about Clark Kerr ("Clark Kerr, 'One of the Giants,' Dies," December 12). Accounts in national dailies seemed to focus on Kerr's tumultuous time during the Free Speech Movement in the 1960s. I had the opportunity on several occasions to work and talk with Mr. Kerr, and I can attest to the fact that there was much more to him than his actions in those difficult times.
