Passports in Hand, College Presidents Join Tours to Deepen Ties With Donors

The third week of June will find Daniel J. Curran, president of the University of Dayton, away from his campus. He will be in Italy, taking in the lush Tuscan vineyards of Castello Banfi, in Montalcino.
But this trip will not be a vacation for Mr. Curran. It will be an extended meet-and-greet with university donors and alumni, a weeklong adventure organized by Dayton's fund-raising office designed to forge closer ties between the university and its strongest supporters
