Papal Visit Presents Security and Logistical Challenges for University

The pope is coming, and the Catholic University of America here is getting ready.
As part of his first official visit to the United States, Pope Benedict XVI will deliver an address at the university on Thursday and will visit the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, which is at the southwestern edge of the campus, today. The visit has raised myriad security and logistical issues for the university, which has spent months in preparation.
