Panelists Assess Future of Teacher Training
Lawmakers' push to hold colleges accountable for the teachers they train is forcing schools of education to search for ways to reinvent themselves, panelists said last week at the annual meeting of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
The call for accountability may lead faculty members in the arts and sciences to reconsider their teaching as well, panelists said.
