Panel Urges End to Federal Aid for Foreign Medical Students

A committee of health-policy experts has recommended that the federal government eliminate graduate-medical-education payments to foreign students who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States, and reduce by 25 per cent the number of first-year residency positions supported by federal subsidies.
