Pagan Students Find a Haven at Marshall U.

Attention, all high-school seniors who also happen to be pagans: Marshall University may be the place for you.

The university in Huntington, W.Va., is allowing pagan students to be excused from classes on their religion’s holidays, the Associated Press reported.

Here’s what the university’s dean of student affairs has to say about the decision: “I don’t think there are a lot of students here who have those beliefs, but we want to respect them.”

Are there other colleges that give pagan students a get-out-of-class-free card? If you know of any, please speak up by posting a comment. —Thomas Bartlett
