Oxford U. Press Drops Contemporary-Poetry List; 'College English' Cuts Verse From Its Pages; New Book Documents Modern Looting of Ancient City
When printers still used hot-metal type, each had a "hellbox" -- a bin where broken or worn type was discarded to be recast. Greg Delanty, who grew up in a family of printers, decided to use that word to title his fourth book of poetry. The Hellbox was published in October by Oxford University Press, which has since decided to drop its contemporary-poetry list. The irony is not lost on Mr. Delanty.
