Oxford Roiled by Admissions Scheme
Two University of Oxford professors resigned after university administrators and government officials reacted angrily to a newspaper report claiming that the professors had offered a student admission to one of the university's colleges in exchange for a philanthropic donation.
A journalist with The Sunday Times pretended to be a wealthy banker seeking a place at Oxford for a child and tape-recorded conversations with two fellows of Pembroke College. The fellows made statements
