Budget request

  • The University System of Maryland, which comprises most of the state's public four-year colleges, has not yet submitted its request to the Maryland Higher Education Commission.
  • For two-year colleges, $205-million, a 6.7-percent increase.

Outlook for budget request

  • Good. The state has had close to a billion-dollar surplus during the current fiscal year, and
