Budget request
- For the University of Massachusetts system, $435.5-million, a 6.5-percent increase.
- For four-year state colleges, $202.5-million, a 7.1-percent increase.
- For community colleges, $228.6-million, a 8.3-percent increase.
Outlook for budget request
- Tax revenue is running nearly 8 percent above projections, thanks to a rebounding state economy.
