  • $1.9-billion, a 5.5-percent increase.

Outlook for budget request

  • Fair. Georgia's economy continues to grow. As of October, revenues for the 2005-6 budget were 9.4 percent above what they had been the year before. Higher-education leaders were hopeful that the positive economic news might allow them to win state aid to help them pay for costs associated with enrollment
