Ousted Math Professor Settles Suit With Temple U.
A Tenured professor of mathematics who was fired by Temple University for "incompetence" in the classroom has settled a lawsuit against the university in which he said that Temple expected him to pass students who couldn't do college-level work.
Martin M. Eisen, 70, was fired by Temple in January after 34 years on the faculty. Three faculty panels decided he was an extremely harsh grader who was rude and unhelpful to students.
