Our Monsters, Ourselves
Before September 11, we seemed to be in the midst of a great revival of famous monsters. In addition to recent cinematic revamps of Dracula and Godzilla, we had seen the successful box-office return of The Exorcist and aggressively marketed video re-releases of Universal's "Classic Monster Collection," including Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein, The Creature From the Black Lagoon, The Wolf Man, and Dracula.
