In "Family-Medicine Posts Are Waning" (The Chronicle, March 30), Katherine Mangan cites statistics from the recent medical-education residency match, concluding that "just 15 percent of this year's applicants for residency positions selected clearly identified primary-care programs in pediatrics, internal medicine, or family medicine."
