Oral Roberts U. Seeks New Direction After President Quits in Scandal
The governing board of Oral Roberts University today begins the work of finding a replacement for Richard L. Roberts. The son of the evangelical institution's founder resigned the university presidency following allegations that he was involved in lavish spending and political impropriety.
The Board of Regents scheduled the two-day meeting after Mr. Roberts sent a letter on Friday notifying the board of his resignation from the university, in Tulsa, Okla.
