As higher education in China booms, collaborations between American and Chinese institutions are multiplying rapidly — a fact underscored by the visit of China's president, Hu Jintao, to Yale University in April. Yale has a long and well-established history of joint ventures with Chinese scholars and institutions, including more than 80 academic partnerships with Chinese universities
