Online Students Don't Fare as Well as Classroom Counterparts, Study Finds
Professors at Michigan State University have found that students who took an economics course online didn't do as well as students who took the same course in a traditional classroom.
The researchers also said that women's performance was not hurt by the online environment as much as the men's performance was. Women traditionally don't do as well in economics courses as men do. In addition, the study found that online students tended to spend less time studying than their classroom
