Online Law School Closes Abruptly, Turning Paper Chase Into Wild-Goose Chase
A virtual law school in California unexpectedly closed over the summer, leaving students unable to get transcripts or refunds after the owner skipped town.
Saratoga University School of Law was an online institution run by Michael Narkin, a former lawyer who gave up his law license in 1986 after two successful malpractice lawsuits were filed against him. That didn't stop him from opening the virtual law school in 1996 with the blessing of the State of California.
