Article: NCAA Debates a Longer Football Season and More Money for Women's Sports

Following are summaries of some of the 131 new rules being considered this year for Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association:

Proposal No. 02-82: If a football or basketball player receives only institutional financial aid, such as loans or academic scholarships, his or her aid would not count against team scholarship
