On-Line Bookseller Signs Deals to Handle Textbook Orders for 2 College Stores
Starting this summer, students at Heritage College will have to go on line to buy their textbooks.
Heritage, a liberal-arts college of 1,139 students, used to negotiate 8,000 to 10,000 textbook orders each semester with more than two dozen publishers. Now it has decided to handle textbook sales exclusively through a contract with VarsityBooks.com, a virtual bookseller in the tradition of Amazon.com.
