Ohio U. Contractor Faces Allegations of Using Children on Construction Site
A contractor at Ohio University is accused of employing children as young as 9 in the construction of a dormitory, one of a number of possible labor violations under investigation by a state agency.
The Plain Dealer of Cleveland reported last week that Ohio Department of Commerce investigators found a 9-year-old and a 12-year-old working on the construction site, and one project supervisor said he saw a 10-year-old installing drywall.
