Ohio Court Upholds Law Barring Collective Bargaining on Faculty Workloads
A state law in Ohio that barred collective bargaining on the issue of faculty workloads is constitutional after all.
The Ohio Supreme Court reversed itself last week, ending a four-year legal battle between the state and the Central State University chapter of the American Association of University Professors. The 7-to-2 decision upholds a 1993 law excluding professors from the setting of faculty-workload requirements.
